LAURA VALENTINO, LISW-S

Laura Valentino is an Independently Licensed Social Worker with a supervisory designation by the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Philosophy from Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts and her Master of Social Work from The Ohio State University.
Laura specializes in working with individuals who have experienced trauma, as well as assisting individuals manage or overcome symptoms of depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and grief. She also has extensive experience assisting families in acquiring effective parenting skills and techniques.
Laura is certified the Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing International Association (EMDRIA) in EMDR and is also an Approved Consultant. She is also trained in and utilizes several other evidence-based interventions such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Progressive Counting, and Child Parent Relationship Therapy.
She believes in a client-centered approach to treatment in which a partnership is created in the therapeutic relationship. Laura creates a space in which clients feel welcomed, safe, and cared for during sessions. She believes strongly in the importance of respect and kindness and welcomes individuals and families of all cultures, races, spiritualities, ages, sexual orientations and genders. Laura is proud to be an ally of the LGBTQ community.
Laura also currently serves as the Clinical Director of the Ohio Lawyers Assistance Program. (www.ohiolap.org) Laura has served as the Assistant Clinical Director of a local group private practice. Prior to this role, Laura worked for the Rape Crisis Center of Central Massachusetts, Catholic Social Services and St. Vincent Family Center providing her experience with a large range of populations.
In her free time, Laura enjoys listening to podcasts, gardening (indoors and out!), reading, attempting to be crafty, trying out new restaurants and spending time with her family. She and her partner Michael have two children, Vincent (“Vinny”) and Vera.

ROCCO CONTINI, LPCC

Rocco Contini is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in the state of Ohio as designated by the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. He received a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Ohio University and taught middle and high school music for four years before receiving his Masters of Arts in Counseling from Northwestern University.
Rocco specializes in working with individuals who have experienced various types of trauma and couples/romantic partners working to heal and strengthen their relationships. He has experience helping clients process and overcome symptoms of trauma, anxiety, depression, interpersonal struggles, and increase their self esteem. He believes strongly in equality and equity and is happy to work with people of all races, spiritualities, immigration/citizenship statuses, physical abilities, sexual/romantic orientations, and gender identities. Rocco himself is a proud gay man and ally to the trans/non-binary communities.
Rocco is trained and skilled in a variety of evidence-based counseling practices. Rocco is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), and Attachment-Based Family Therapy (ABFT).
At the core of Rocco’s work is attachment theory and the power of the therapeutic relationship. Rocco believes strongly in the idea that we are harmed in relationship and healed in relationship. Rocco strives to provide a collaborative, respectful, individualized, client-centered therapeutic space for each Client to process their emotions and discover ways to become their healthiest and most authentic self.
In his free time, Rocco enjoys reading, woodworking and carpentry, playing Dungeons and Dragons, and binge watching all things Star Wars and Marvel. Rocco lives in Columbus with his partner Jamie, and their two dogs, Tank and Maverick.

RACHAEL SCHLEICH, MSW, LSW

Rachael Schleich is a Licensed Social Worker by the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communication with minors in Gender Studies and Psychology from Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio and her Master of Social Work from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA.
Rachael is passionate about empowering individuals to learn the tools to build healthier relationships with themselves and others, as well as teaching strong coping and mood management skills. She takes a strengths based, client-centered approach to helping clients reach their goals. Rachael also believes strongly in equality and inclusion of all races, religions, ability, and sexual and gender orientations. She believes in building a strong therapeutic relationship and a safe space for any and all to heal, so you will often hear her crack jokes, tell stories, and relate to recent events and pop culture.
Prior to her MSW, Rachael was a summer camp director and event planner in Texas and has been in the retail/fashion industry as a Wedding Coordinator for a local suit company, Pursuit. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, her cat (Pesto) and dog (Sadie), listening to a podcast or at a sporting event.

DYLAN CRUM, SWT

Dylan Crum is a Social Work Trainee working to become an Independently Licensed Social Worker. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with minors in Art History & Philosophy from Miami University and is pursuing his Master of Social Work from The Ohio State University.
Dylan is pursuing training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. He has experience helping adolescents and young adults work through various psychological issues and assisting them on a path of self-empowerment and growth. His experience as a camp counselor has refined his communication skills and prepared him to tailor therapeutic approaches to individual needs. He is looking forward to gaining experience with additional populations and techniques.
Dylan believes strongly in a client- and strengths-oriented approach that focuses primarily on building a trusting therapeutic relationship and highlighting the strengths of clients. He believes that all individuals have their own unique sets of strengths and experiences and works to build connections that promote healing and personal growth. As a therapist, he is committed to providing a safe and supportive space that allows clients to explore their thoughts and feelings freely. Dylan strongly believes in principles of equality and equity and looks forward to working with individuals of all cultures, races, spiritualities, ages, sexual orientations, and genders.

LAUREN HILL, SWT

Lauren Hill is a student at The Ohio State University pursuing her Masters of Social Work. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with minors in Addiction Studies and Disability Studies from West Virginia University.
Lauren has experience with many diverse populations, from working at a shelter for unhoused individuals, sober living facility, being a camp counselor for individuals with developmental disabilities, volunteering at a therapeutic horseback riding ranch, and nannying children. She will be pursuing training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.
With a strong foundation in psychology and social work, Lauren is committed to providing empathetic and personalized support to her clients. She is excited to learn about different therapy styles and how they can be used to support the individuals she serves.
In her free time she enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, and exploring the various restaurants Columbus has to offer. She also spends time taking care of her house plants and listening to music.
